| Description | Congress created the Morris Udall Scholarships and Foundation to honor the Arizona congressman's distinguished career in public service, a career marked by civility, integrity and consensus. Udall was devoted to issues related to the environment and the rights of Native Americans. The foundation seeks sophomores and juniors with outstanding potential who either have an interest in environmental policy or who are Native Americans concerned with health and tribal policy. Udall Scholars get financial support for one year of undergraduate study. |
