| Description | The James Madison Fellowship seeks to promote high school teaching as an important and honorable profession by supporting graduate training in American history, American government, and social studies education. The program was created to address a pressing need in secondary education for talented teachers of the US Constitution and the basic principles of limited government and liberty. After earning a master's degree, Fellows must teach American history, American government, or social studies in grades 7-12 for at least one year for each full academic year of study under the fellowship. |
