Museums and Society
Minor only

This interdisciplinary program promotes the study of institutions that collect, preserve and interpret material culture. The minor examines traditional museums as well as exploring the roles of historic sites and monuments. Courses provide opportunities for students to develop meaningful connections with Baltimore’s vibrant array of local and regional museums, thought lectures by Hopkins faculty and local museum professionals, fields trips, and hands-on museum opportunities.
